Happy Roller Coaster Day
I know, I made that one up. I went to my thirdSix Flags park on Saturday and I was not disappointed! Today, I'd like to tell you about some unique roller coasters...
Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, TX
- Titan - 85 miles per hour!...The first big drop ends in a tiny little tunnel...it really doesn't feel like you're going to fit.
- Mr. Freeze - magnetically accelerated into, among other things, a crazy inverted, super-tall, hairpin u-turn and then leads to a dead end....to get back, you have to ride the whole thing backwards!
Paramount Great America, San Jose, CA
- Stealth - when you strap in, you're on your back, so when the ride gets going, and they turn you around, you're hanging from it face down. It feels like you were Superman becasue you can't see the track, or the car, you're just flying!
Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay, FL
- Montu - hanging feet coaster...beneath you lie live alligators! One big drop, sends you through a little ditch in the ground they've dug out...because you can't see the ditch, it feels like you're gonna crash into the ground!
MGM Studios, Orlando, FL
- Aerosmith - magnetically accelerated coaster with speakers in the headrests. Quality ride with quality tunes!
If you know of moreunique coasters, let me know!!
I think I'll devote this week to other great attractions...
