Political Cartoons

Political Cartoons

I speak not of those funny single frame drawings that may satrically highlight some debatable talking point. I speak of cartoons considered good and wholesome that are actually serving some political agenda! Please watch as new and classic conspiracy theories spread through the magic of the internet!

Smurfs ==> Communists

Papa Smurf is a communist

You'll notice that in almost all episodes, Brainy Smurf or somebody feeling adventurous will cause some calamity and it'll be up to an uncreative, hard-working smurf (like Handy Smurf) to right the situation. Mean while the villain is a capitalist called Gargamel. His feline sidekick, Azrael, respresented the American 'fat cats' :-P What was the entire point of Smurfs? Gargamel wanted to satisfy his greed by turning the Smurfs to gold!

Scooby Doo ==> Hippies

Scooby Doo craved Scooby snacks

You'll notice that Shaggy and Scooby were always a little ... relaxed and always had ... the munchies. Two plus two is four.

Calvin and Hobbies ==> Fight Club

Tyler Durden is really Hobbes

This interesting comparison draws many parallels, the clearest of which is the nature of both G.R.O.S.S and any given fight club.

Finally, Penny Arcade presents the real truth about the matrix.
