Giant Inflatable Monkey

That's right, I've found my new favorite profession! On Monday, I went to the Phoenix Suns' last home game of the regular season and was treated to a few changes since last I visted...

First, they have three-foot tall led screen that runs around the entire inside of the arena! It's like the ultimate mood-lighting device. When they want to present the fire of the sun, they present it very well! Unfortunately, it spends most of its time hocking soft drinks at us, most distracting :-/ I'm guess the players' can't really see it.

But the best part about the evening (barring: the literally above-the-rim-44-points-in-the-first-quarter basketball) was the use of one two inflatable monkeys for entertainment!

You see, the Suns' mascot is the Gorilla. Assisting him were these two other inflatable monkeys, here's one of them:

It is my theory, that somebody is paid go inside and animate these creatures! I can't even begin to describe how they utterly amusingly shuffled acrossed the court, proceeded to reapeatedly head-bop the security gaurds and then knocked each other over. Their dancing? To die for. It is my belief that inflatable monkeys are one of the pillars of the Constitution of Silliness(C). I can't believe I didn't bring my camera!

In any case, seeing how the Suns dominated the regular season, I'm going to go ahead and put money they they're going to finally get themselves some rings!
