Ode to the Suns
Starting a trend isn't an easy thing to do. As those who care are aware, the Phoenix Suns tried to bring back the magic of the all-offense style of play. If you've ever seen it, you know it's so much more exciting to watch than the half-court set offense. It's akin to watching the helter-skelter college ball, but with professional skill. Last night I witnessed the end of their season; it was a real shame. If they team stays intact, I'm going to bet on rings for them next year.
Suns fandamonium was in full effect last night
The Suns brought out everybody from their dance team, their middle-aged-men dance team, the precussion team, both giant inflatable monkeys, a local contortionist, the owner of the team, and of course the Gorilla! Barring the fact that we lost, it was a pretty good game with plenty of drama. Somebody once said that the best part of basketball is that you can see the emotions on the players' faces. I would have to agree.
In any case, Pistons all the way!
As a side note, I got those pictures from the top row in the arena ... they fill me with pride :-P
