Services for the Creative
I haven't been doing much of anything "share-able" this month; it's been a month of basketball, poker, and hiking. But a certain trend has increased in speed on my whoa-radar and it is about to appear as a blog entry.
The Do-It-Yourself mentality has been producing more and more creative projects. From homemade t-shirts, to hyper-efficient refrigerators to solar power generators.
However, there seems to be a little bit of an industry that has cropped up from providing slightly less handy, yet just as creative, people ways to express their creativity.
Take for example buying somebody a gift. One of the less creative gifts one can purchase is a gift card. However, using a service provided by USPS, one can personalize the gift card with a photo of your choice.
In the world of funny, one-liner tshirts, one could purchase such humorous apparrel from a retailer, or your corner, mom-and-pop internet store. On the other hand, you could just design one yourself at this place.
Finally, let's say you needed a logo yet didn't really have the budget to hire a designer; LogoYes to the rescue. Using their wizard, you can create a complete package of digital artwork that you could give to an html monkey.
Ah, the list goes on ... I love it when the intartron empowers people to do things that they couldn't do before :-)
