West Simp Story

West Simp Story

As part of the tour of the bay area I afforded my sister this past weekend, we attended a 'Spontaneous Broadway Musical' produced by, none other than, the Stanford Improv!

The SImps performing 'Breeze on the Sea'

It was an awesome comedy show setup to resemble the auditioning and production of a Broadway musical. The audience made up some titles and the hosts would pick the participants. We heard beautiful and hilarious renditions of songs such as:

• 18-Wheeler Love
• I like the view from the bleachers, from the musical P.E.
• My love is like a red, red jacket, from Clothes
• I'm no longer mute
• Smile High, Frown Low, from Bad Day

Right before intermission, the audience voted for 'Sugar Plum' from the musical 'Breeze on the Sea' as the best song and so the SImps produced the show during the second half of the show!

The comedians and the keyboardist were on fire and we had a blast! Go Cardinal!
