I had the chance to go to a couple of stellar events this week that I must share.

I am a sucker for raas, it is more than evident. The good people at USF Indian Student Organization were kind enough to pull off their first annual Holi Garba Raas night while I was around! They scored a live band, a rising star of a DJ, and a pair - that's right two - live dholis. With samosas and jalebi rounding out the evening, there could be no doubt that it was well done - I may have thoroughly enjoyed myself :-) It should also be noted that this time we had Co-Rookies of the year - both easily picked up 5-step and 12-step on their first night. I hope they understand the magnitude of what they have accomplished.

Event two was the return of MC Frontalot to the Yay Area! This talented nerdcore rapper is an awesome performer. He clearly puts a lot of thought into exactly how his shows are performed and the result is really, really funny :-) Take a few minutes to listen to one of his latest tracks: Charity Case.
