The Time of Rebirth

The Renaissance: a time in history when Europe lept forward in science, art, and culture.

The Renaissance Faire: where we went last weekend and had a blast running around a wooded area filled with costumed 'rennies', recreations of shops and wares, and displays of jesters, knights, and a queen!

The jousting was fun to watch and learning to shoot and arrow with a bow made the drive down to Hollister definitely worth it. Although I didn't put money down at the turtle races, I picked up miniature catapult that is capable of launching peas at targets a few yards away ... unfortunately I can't find it. If I do find it, look out!!
