By: Jon Stewart - Available at Amazon

A description of the American government and its media delivered as only Jon Stewart and his crack team of comedians can. Particular highlights include the portrayal of directions the media has taken since the time of town criers and the distinction between activist and constructionist judges; oh! and the idea that one way the checks and balances system can be defeated is by a single political party winning the exective and legislative branches by election and then having the opportunity of appointing federal judges. Not to be forgotten were the descriptions of governments that were not American or the journalistic value-heirarchy of evening news programs and their anchors. While reading this book you will hopefully be able to both apperciate the American government as well as see certain important trends that are becoming too obvious to ignore.
