Animoto Tips
Animoto is an amazing service to bring your photos to life!
All you need to do is, upload all your stuff and use their online interface to put it together. You give up a lot of editorial control, but in exchange they give you all the fun transitions and apply them based on the beats of whichever song you give them.
Sample
- Here's a link to a sample.
Control you have:
- Order of the clips, photos
- Duration of the videos (up to 10 seconds)
- Single track of music. If you want more than one song, you'll have to mix it on your own.
What Animoto controls
- When transitions occur
- How long the video will be
- Which transitions will be used, etc.
Cost
- 30 seconds: free (video clips are limited to 5 seconds)
- Full length: $3 - Don't know how long "full" is, but it's at least 6 min.
- High-quality: $8 ($3+$5) - You can download a high quality file or burnable DVD ISO. I feel the high quality is definitely worth it.
Tips
The 'export to youtube' feature only exports the 'web quality' version, even if you have bought the high quality version.Animoto now exports to youtube at high quality!- Assume the first and last second of a video clip could be cutout due to a transition.
Fun stuff, for sure!
