Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom

From the mind of a co-editor of boingboing.net, comes a story about how things might work in the future. Our hero, somebody who helps run a ride at Disney World, is murdered and then restored from a 'backup'. While he tries to solve the mystery of his own murder, he tries fend off a political attack from another ride's employees. It's kind a neat to think of Disney World run and improved by people who love the rides rather than a corporation. It's also neat to think of a society that is stratified by 'woofie', i.e. meritocratic reputation points, rather than money. Side note, I listened to this read by the author of the blog at legups.com. While I applaud the effort, weaving music into the story was silly. I ended up getting confused at the end, so I think I'll have to re-read the ending on paper :-)
