Ear+Training
I am in love with the idea of understanding music, absolutely inlove with the idea. However, as far as I can tell, it's something that you really have to take seriously to learn.
In any case, I've been trying to set up some kind of methodology for learning how to hear and play simple melodies. My research, if you want to call it that, has lead me to the idea of ear training. As opposed to sitting down at a piano and learning songs, the idea of ear training is to sit down and become familiar with sound.
Naturally, most forms of training require a teacher and lessons. Both of these are expensive and relatively inflexible to changing schedules. What is the answer? It'ssoftware of course! I think I've stubled onto a couple resources that I really think will work. God's speed to me and you.
