Eugenics Wars Vol 1 and 2

A couple of short trek novels, set in Kirk's time, which act as a prelude to Star Trek II: Wrath of Kahn. Actually Kirk's story is a small frame story around the rise of Kahn Singh's origins on Earth in the late 20th century. It was a pretty fun story just because it incorporated a few Indian things here and there (i.e. goondas). Kahn apparently went megomanical after witnessing the Bhopal tragedy and was responsible for much of the geo-political turmoil in the decades to come. I never realized Kahn was supposed to be a fully Indian villain, definitely going to have to watch Star Trek II again :-P Note: the second volume was read by Odo.
