Hardware
Here are pieces of hardware that I use in my daily life and why :-P (Hey I didn't make you come here)
Camera
- CanonS230 - let's me take goodPictures and decent movies
- Previously
- FujiFinePix 1400 - used to let me take okPictures
- ToshibaPDR-2 - my first digital camera, back in '98. I liked it.
Cell Phone
- Sanyo 4900 - let's me talk longer than forever, keeps my appointments straight

- Nokia 6360 - let me talk forever, kept my appointments straight
PDA
- Toshiba e740 - let's me play mp3 and audio books, watch movies on airplanes and connect to the internet with no wires! Thank youLew!
- Previously
- Handspring Visor - did nothing for me
- Original Palm Pilot - taught me to write 'Grafiti'
Video Card
- ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500 - turned my computer into a Tivo for $150 and no monthly fee! Comes with a killer remote control too :-)
Portable Media
- Rio Cali - The perfect player for me and myaudio books :-P It's small, light, runs on AAA and enough storage for 10 hours of audio books and 5 cd's. Hopefully it'll last until the ultimate device is invented.
- Phillips Expanium MP3 cd playeer. It has great sound quality an great for the car
- My PDA (see above)
Ultimate Device
- The ultimate device would be small, light, durable, thin, have a long-lasting battery, play/record all media, be well-connected (other comptuers, cars, home, cell phone, internet) have mass-storage and be able to have its functionality extended with home brewed software. Fragile devices exist for all these features, but nothing in one beautiful, unbreakable package :-)
- Flip Start - a leading candidate...
- Motorola's MPx - another front-runner
