AmazonThis was my first foray into the world of "learning a language by audio book". Since there were only 5 hours of lessons I spread them out over quite a time span. I really liked the way they slowly built up the complexity of the lessons and by the end, I had indeed learned a lot about sentence structure all without having to learn terminology like obliques and direct objects. Of course, there's only so much you can learn in five hours, but still I would conclude that it's a reasonably powerful method of learning a language. When I do get around go going to Italy, I'll be sure to pick up 10 hours, or so, of Italian.
