AmazonI cannot stop recommending this book. As a product of the textbooks the author denounces, I found myself loving every bit of this book. Part of the book is to compare and contrast the historical accounts in 12 US History textbooks to what is is written in primary and secondary sources. Another part is to explain why textbooks are written the way they are and why history is taught the way it is. Part of the discusses the ramification of these things. The books is written well, the reader was awesome and I couldn't get enough. If you want to re-learn parts of history and better understand your world, read this book. It's not all negative-nelly stuff, it's pretty fair and tries to tell it as it is.
