The Riverwalk is a beautiful collection of shops and restaurants that we visited on this crazy road trop. It's in the heart of San Antonio and right next to the Alamo.

The boat tour we took talked a lot about the history of the riverwalk and the various mechanism it has to avoid damage from flooding. The Marriott on the Riverwalk replaced another hotel which was lifted out of the ground and driven 6 blocks away -- at 0.4 m.p.h! Ridiculous. As for the Alamo, I must say I was geeking out on a couple of different levels :-)
