The Assault On Reason

Al Gore pretty much takes aim and fires at the current administration. But more interestingly, he describes the changes in the political system that have been made during our generation that make it look very much different from even 30 years ago. Checks and balances have been removed, various offices have had their powers reduced or expanded. Very interesting stuff. Perhaps a bigger villain than the current administration is the television. He takes and example from his own candidacy. Gore staff was able to precisely predict the increase in margin by 8.5% over 3 weeks by spending X dollars on a television ad campaign. It reminded of the time Flying man needed X millions of dollars from Linderman for his campaign ... but I digress.
