The End of Overeating

AmazonThis is the first food books that made me feel like eating more bad foods. Heh. The first two-thirds aren't particularly exciting, but he last third was interesting. It likens overeating to disorders like alcohol abuse and anorexia. He figures 'conditioned hypereating" will benefit from the same habit-breaking strategies that are employed by programs like AA. We also learn that fiber-based foods empty from the stomach at a rate of 4Cals/sec while sugar-based foods empty at 10Cals/sec. I was also happy to hear that many of the recommendations he made were identical to ones that I did during my recent 3-week/10-lb weight-loss 'binge'!
