The Diamond Age

Two big old thumbs up :-) Like ~~Snow Crash~~, this story takes place in a cyberpunk universe, probably 50+ years after ~~Snow Crash~~; however, the two stories have almost nothing to do with one another. The Diamond Age is a coming of age story that stresses education, competence, strength and ambition. I don't even know how to begin describing its virtues. There are sub-plots, stories within stories, and just some awesomely creative stuff. I personally don't think it's too nerdy, but I'm sure the ubiquitous use of nanotech might turn-off some readers. If you can get past it, it's an <span style="font-weight:bold">awesome</span> piece of fiction.
