The Mirror of Fire and Dreaming

This was the second book in a series of books about a little Indian boy's adventures as he becomes a member of the Brotherhood of the Conch. Oh, how I wished this book was better. The story is silly and the writing is just not cool :-/ It really makes you understand why the Harry Potter series is fun. A story teller cannot just tell you what's happening, they have to tell you in a way that makes you read between the lines to learn how, for example, a character is feeling. All things considered, I hope this is a hit somewhere so that it encourages more Indian authors to take a crack at fantasy :-)
