The Omnivore's Dilemma

By: Michael Pollan - Available at
AmazonAn absolute fascinating trip through the American food industry. He tries to follow a kernel of corn from farm to food, explores the world of organic, and tries to hunt/gather his own food. I cannot recommend this book enough. Did this change my eating habit? A little bit. Am I glad I'm a vegetarian? Most definitely. Two main things to take away from this book: a sun-powered local farm is a thing of beauty; it can make you cry. A concentrated animal feeding operation is nightmarish; it can make you cry.
