The Universe in a Single Atom

AmazonI think this book needs a course in modern physics and genetics in order to appreciate to any significant degree. I don't say that be cause he's talking about anything super complicated, but when he does talk science he doesn't have time to explain the concepts he's talking about. I really liked the book because he talks about the parts of Buddhism that interface directly with the remaining mysteries of science and he explicitly defers any findings of science to be the final say in things material. That being said, he relates a fair number of findings of ancient Buddhist to modern-day scientific findings that have proven 'true', and at least one example of when the ancients were wrong. The last part of the book was a general call to action to develop our ethics in parallel to science. What I really liked was the description of Buddhist thought experiments, it may require some further investigation.
