Advice
- Vallarta seems to be run by the timeshare folks and a tour company called "Vallarta Adventures". When negotiating with the timeshare folks for tours, know exactly which tours you want, or else they will push the Vallarta Adventures versions of the tours on you.
- Vallarta Adventures tours have very entertaining guides. Their canopy tour is possibly not as awesome as Las Veranos, but it does have redudant zip lines.
- Whale Watching is from Dec to Mar
- Stay in Old Town (Zona Romantica, more specifically), that's where all the action is. The resorts are very removed and isolated (15 minute taxi/bus). Not that it's a bad thing, but you'll be missing out on all the color. Keep in mind, resorts are quiet, the city is not.
