Winning

The first business book I have ever read yet it feels like I would never have to ask another question about the subject. Perhaps that isn't completely true, but the point is that it's really hard to argue with the fruits of experience because you know that Dr. Welch has dealt with all of the scenarios he highlights in his hajillion years of experience. The meat of this book is this: to succeed, one must work extremely hard, be candid in the extreme, learn to recognize one's environment and make the tradeoffs that will make one happy. In general, his advice was reaffirming of my own idealistic views on life and sounds a lot like my dad's experiences at Honeywell. In general the book sounds like it's making as much scientific sense of business as one can make.
